Pacquiao's big break came on June 23, 2001, contiguously IBF Super Bantamweight title holder Lehlohonolo Ledwaba (South Africa). The bout was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao went upon to defend this title four time knocked out head trainer Freddie Roach, owner of the Wild Card Gym in West Hollywood.
